Come “pitch” your most pressing business growth issues with a distinguished group of Orange County entrepreneurs. They will diagnose your problems and help you focus on real-world solutions from which we all can learn.
Whether your growth initiatives are facing obstacles in the areas of sales, marketing, new product development, finance or operations, this panel will help you map out a personalized remedy so you can worry less and do more.
About the Moderator:
As an entrepreneur Tyler Jorgenson focuses on building his own companies. From nutraceuticals to clothing accessories, he launches businesses and brands based on the demands of the market. Tyler has owned a restaurant, a real estate company, a mortgage firm, retail websites and many other ventures. He consults businesses on innovation and entrepreneurship and host a radio show called The BizNinja Radio Hour that broadcasts weekly live on KCAA AM 1050 in Southern California. Tyler received his BS from the University of Redlands, and is currently attending the University of Southern California and expects to receive his MBA in 2012 from the Marshall School of Business.
About the Panelists:
Christian Bunte is a leading, young entrepreneur in the gourmet food space. Having started Cabo Chips to the US. Since 2005 Christian has served as vice president single handedly managing all aspects of the company's sales, marketingm new product development, finance and operations. In the past six years he has grown the business from a local Orange County brand to a nationally recognized company in some of the nations leading retailers such as Costco, Whole Foods Market and Kroger. Christian has been recognized in the Orange County Business Journal as one of the top young entrepreneur's/family businesses and by USC as a leading young entrepreneur. Christian is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business Entrepreneurship program and has been a regular lecturer at local colleges and organizations on the topic of new ventures and strategies for building packaged food companies.
Scott A. Capone's background includes social media, digital management, project marketing, as well as internet operations. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, he is results driven. Mr. Capone has an extensive track-record on software solution based projects, digital marketing campaigns with administrative follow through. Scott started Capone Strategies Inc. when he saw a need for integration in an emerging technical world that needed to be compatible and user friendly. Mr. Capone possess an analytical nature coupled with a desire for excellence in every project staying well-informed on the latest technological changes is what keeps clients returning.
Ray Chan is an entrepreneur and an active investor with years of successful track record as a king/queen maker, working in full partnership with founders to create the appropriate structures, systems and teams required. Ray is a member and board member of Tech Coast Angels, member of TCA ACE Fund deal committee; an active investor, board member and COO of TCA portfolio companies MasherMedia and Vokle.
Mark Risner is a private practice attorney with a simple approach: "Results with Integrity." Providing quality legal services to individuals and corporations in the areas of business litigation, employment matters, settlement, negotiation and trial. I am always interested in working with established business organizations and start-ups. His specialties: Buy-Sell Agreements, Enforceability-Opinion Letters, Employee/Employer Separation Agreements, Non-Disclosure and Non-Solicitation Agreements, Employement/Contract Litigation, Employer Defense, Wage & Hour Claims, and ERISA compliance and litigation.
Greg Doyle is a Managing Director with InLab Ventures, a Southern California based VC firm, focused primarily on early-stage technology and life science companies. Greg sits on the board for various InLab Ventures' portfolio companies, including Leading BioSciences and InflammaGen Therapeutics. Greg has a 20 year background as an entrepreneur and a senior business leader for both public and private companies, strategic management consulting, forming and incubating early to mid-stage companies, mergers & acquisitions, and fund management.
Greg spent the early part of his career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in their Corporate Finance organization performing technology related M&A work. During his time at EDS he participated in over $3 billion in acquisitions and joint ventures with companies including Sony, Viacom, and HP. After EDS, Greg went on to a successful strategic management consulting career at both A.T. Kearney and Sapient Corporation. Greg has strategic management and IT consulting experience with dozens of Fortune 500 companies including Caterpillar, Time Warner, Nokia, Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, GEICO, Progressive, ADM, and General Motors. His industry specialization is in the Hi-Tech, Wireless, Internet, and New Media industries.
Greg was also a Division President with UBICS, a publicly-traded strategic management consulting and IT consulting firm focusing primarily on the custom web application and software development space. During his time at UBICS, he was also the President of SquareRadius, a regional interactive agency, branding/design firm, and custom web application development company.
In addition to his professional career, Greg has been a serial entrepreneur having started and sold 4 different businesses from the ground up since 1990. Two of those companies sold for more than $25 million. Greg has successfully raised over $40 million in seed and Series A funding for VC-backed ventures and has previously raised and managing a $70 million fund.
Greg is the co-author of Venture Capital 3.0, an entirely new business model for the venture capital industry. Greg also writes and publishes articles and blogs geared towards helping entrepreneurs. Some of those articles can be seen at www.venturecapital3-0.com.
Greg received his Executive MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business and a BS in Finance from Brigham Young University.
